He completed his internal medicine residency training through the NYU/Mount Sinai system and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, with more than ten peer-reviewed publications to his name.
Much of his career has centered on physician education and healthcare quality. He chairs the Graduate Medical Education committee at Texoma Medical Center, serves as core teaching faculty at Hunt Regional Medical Center, and holds a faculty appointment at the University of North Texas. He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and a Fellow in Hospital Medicine (FHM).
