DFW Weight Loss Guide is owned and operated by AIX Group, LLC dba AIX Health (“AIX Health,” “we,” “us,” or “this site”), 3101 W 6th St., #471814, Fort Worth, TX 76147. We publish independent editorial information about medical weight loss options in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
This site is operated from the United States and is intended for visitors in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.
We don’t ask you to create an account. Reading the guide collects nothing beyond basic, aggregated analytics. If you choose to take our health assessment or contact us, we collect what you enter — including your answers to health-related questions — and use it only to deliver your results, follow up with you, and, only if you ask us to, help you arrange a conversation with a featured provider. We do not sell your information, we are not paid per lead or per patient, and we never share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how the site is used. When you visit, our analytics provider (Google Analytics) collects information such as your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and the duration of your visit. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies and is aggregated — we use it to see which guides are useful, not to identify you.
Information you provide through the contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you choose to provide one, and your message.
Information you provide through the health assessment. Our two-minute assessment is optional. If you take it, we collect your answers — which include your state of residence, age range, your primary goal, and your responses to questions about symptoms and how you’ve been feeling — along with your name, email address, and phone number if you choose to enter them. Your answers are health-related information. We collect them only to generate your results and follow up with you, and we treat them as sensitive: we do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not share them with any provider or third party for their own purposes. Your assessment answers are stored with your contact record in our customer-management platform. The assessment is not available to anyone under 18; if you indicate you are under 18, no record is created.
What the assessment is not. It is not a medical evaluation, it does not diagnose anything, and it does not create a patient relationship with us or with any provider. We are not a healthcare provider, this site is not a patient portal, and we are not a HIPAA covered entity. Your assessment answers are not a medical record. If you need to share detailed medical history, medications, or test results, share them with your own clinician — not through this site.

Our contact form may offer optional checkboxes to receive text messages from DFW Weight Loss Guide. Texting is entirely optional — leaving the boxes unchecked has no effect on your use of the site or our response to your message. If you opt in, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for assistance.
No mobile opt-in data is shared for marketing. Phone numbers and text-messaging consent collected through this site will not be shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third parties, affiliates, or partners for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Arranging an appointment with a provider at your request is not marketing and is not covered by this restriction; it is described under “How we share information.”
You can control cookies through your browser settings, use the site with cookies blocked (everything will still work), or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This site does not currently display advertising and does not use advertising cookies.

Blocking analytics cookies will not break anything on this site. If we ever add advertising or third-party marketing cookies, we will update this section and this policy's "Last updated" date before doing so.
Some browsers and extensions send an automated opt-out signal known as Global Privacy Control (GPC). We treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising — though, as described above, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising in the first place, with or without the signal.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Featured providers on this site pay us a flat monthly fee; that fee does not change based on how many people take the assessment, book a call, or become patients, and providers do not receive assessment data.
We share information in only these circumstances:
With a featured provider, at your request. If, after your Results Call or at any other point, you ask us to help you arrange an appointment with a featured provider, we share your name and contact details with that provider so they can schedule you. We do not share your assessment answers. Once you contact a provider, their own privacy practices apply to what you share with them.
With the service providers that run the site: our web host, the platform that hosts the assessment, our customer-management and email platform, and our analytics provider. They process information on our behalf and under our instructions.
When required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights and safety of others.
In a business transfer. If this site is ever acquired or merged into another publication, visitor information would transfer as part of that transaction and this policy would continue to apply until updated.
Contact-form correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the exchange. Assessment answers and results are kept for as long as we are actively following up with you, and for a limited period afterward so we can honor unsubscribe and deletion requests; you can ask us to delete them at any time through our contact form. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics configuration and then deleted or aggregated.
Depending on where you live — including Texas, California, and a growing number of other states — you may have the right to:

Receive a copy of that information in a portable format
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, or profiling (we do none of these)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California and other state privacy laws.
How to make a request. Submit it through our contact form and tell us which right you're exercising. So we don't hand your information to the wrong person, we may ask you to confirm details that match what we already hold — usually just the email address you contacted us from. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authority. We respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with one extension where permitted).
If we decline. You may appeal by submitting a second request through the contact form marked "appeal." We will respond in writing with our decision and reasoning within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general's office — in Texas, the Office of the Attorney General.
We will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.
Because assessment answers are health-related, some state laws treat them as sensitive data. We collect them only with your consent at the time you take the assessment, and you can withdraw that consent — and have the answers deleted — by asking us through the contact form.
This site discusses prescription weight loss medication and is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited data we handle, including HTTPS encryption across the entire site. No website can guarantee perfect security, which is one more reason we collect as little as we do.
Our guides link to third-party websites — healthcare providers, medication manufacturers, government resources like the FDA, and others. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control. Review their policies before providing them any information.
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
